How does Microneedling work?

Microneedling helps the skin to repair itself after it has encountered any physical damage like cuts, scars, or any other physical damage. When an injury occurs, your skin will destroy the old, damaged tissue that causes acne scarring and wrinkles and will replace it with fresh healthy skin. This treatment is best for all skin types and tones, especially for people who are facing problems like acne scarring, wrinkling, fine lines, and dilated pores.

Microneedling treats the full face for the skin rejuvenation, but it’s not restricted only to the face; it can also treat other areas of the body like the abdomen, legs, arms, and hands. It can safely treat all forms of scars like acne or surgery scars, abdominal scars, stretch marks, burn contracture scars and loose skin.

Why choose Dermapen skin needling over the surgical treatments?

The Dermapen skin needling gives you rejuvenated and plumper skin with minimal discomfort, and very little downtime

In this therapy, disposable needles are used which eliminates the risk of cross-contamination

The depth of the needles is adjustable and this allows for a treatment customized to the patient’s needs

It can easily treat the hard to reach areas like around the nose, eyes, and lips

It is a controlled and consistent treatment that yields optimal results

Microneedling: Before and After

Microneedling is generally considered a very effective treatment in reversing signs of acne scars and aging. Most clients will say the treatment causes minor discomfort; however, this is only short-term. The treatment itself has helped many clients regain lost confidence as a result of acne and other issues such as sun damage.

FAQs

What’s downtime like after microneedling?

Whether you choose microneedling for acne scars or other skin issues, you will notice that the skin appears bright and red following your session. For this reason, we do not recommend planning any significant events right after your appointment. Downtime varies from person to person, but generally, you may experience mild redness and mild swelling for about 24-48 hours after your treatment.

In PICO clinics, we offer you with the latest generation machine which will help you to spend less time but gain best results.

How long does it take to see the results?

This will depend on your cell renewal process, as this slows down as we age. In general it can take up to 8 weeks to see any results, however the regeneration process will continue over the following months giving a gradual enhancement.

How many treatments will I need?

This will be dependent on a number of factors including age, area being treated, skin condition and damage. In most cases it is usually a course of 3 to 6 treatments, generally spaced between 4 -5 weeks apart.
