“Chemical peels are a type of skin treatment that can improve skin
imperfections and make your skin feel much smoother and clearer.”

“Microneedling involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds induce your skin to make more collagen and elastin, which can help to improve your skin quality and look younger.”

Types of Chemical Peel

A chemical peel uses different types of acids to break down the top layers of the skin and contributes to an even skin tone and improved complexion. Some chemical peels are very mild and are often referred to as ‘lunchtime peels’ since they require little downtime – around 20 minutes or so. These are great for the treating mild fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, and enlarged pores.

PRX-T33® Peel

PRX-T33® is an unmatched medical peel-no-peel that stimulates the skin to produce elastin and collagen, the two key factors in anti-aging. It is especially indicated to prevent, relieve or eliminate skin imperfections, scars, stretch marks, photo-aging (skin elastosis) of the face, and décolletage. It usually yields instant results, with visible improvement immediately after the treatment.

The TCA (trichloroacetic acid) penetrates the skin through its deeper layers, while hydrogen peroxide protects the tissues and stimulates the fibroblasts and growth factors. The outer surface of the skin remains unaffected and completely unharmed.

It is indicated for all skin types and it is painless. Unlike traditional medical peels, it is not photosensitising and it is thus suitable any time of year.

Benefits of
Chemical Peel

Improve complexion and clear the surface of the skin

Once the chemicals start to work, they will gradually dissolve the outer layers of dead skin and leave the fresh layer beneath them which is clean and clear.

Help shrink enlarged pores

A chemical peel can help shrink enlarged pores and make them less visible, diminish dark spots, boost radiance, and it can even help with rosacea, too.

Accelerate your skin’s exfoliation

Chemical peels can actually accelerate your skin’s exfoliation through the use of acids, which results in a more uniform complexion. There are chemical peels for everyone – for all skin tones and types.

FAQ ABOUT

Chemical Peel
Treatment

The peel solution will be prepared and painted directly onto your skin in the targeted area. You may feel a tingling sensation, but it shouldn’t be painful. After a set amount of time, (which will vary according to the peel solution used) the solution will be washed away and the treated area cleansed. Your doctor will then advise you on your after-care routine.

Light chemical peels are suitable for most skin types. Your doctor will be able to advise you as to whether you’re suitable for a deeper peel. Pregnant women and people with certain medical conditions cannot be considered for chemical peel treatment. Additionally, those with surface skin complaints, such as sunburn, eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, open sores or rashes may have to wait until their skin has cleared up before undergoing chemical peel treatment.

Redness is common, although it should fade within hours. Your skin may also be dry and feel tight afterwards. You shouldn’t experience any pain and with lighter peels no downtime is required. With stronger peels your skin may feel more sensitive and you may experience peeling of your skin for the first week after treatment.

Anaesthesia is not required for Chemical Peels and you may feel slight stinging sensation as the peel solution is applied to the skin, but the feeling will quickly pass.
