What is Mircobotox?

Microbotox uses a hyper-diluted ratio of botulinum toxin A to achieve that “Korean Glass Skin” effect that is smooth, dewy, taut and naturally lifted. It works by relaxing the smooth muscle components in the superficial layer of the skin, thereby releasing unfavourable tension and gravitational pull of the skin, giving rise to a more bouncy, supple and smooth complexion.

It involves multiple tiny pin-point injections in the uppermost layer of the skin across strategic areas of the face and/or neck. Repeated treatments are often advised to achieve great overall improvement in skin texture, tone and radiance.

How long will the effect last?

The Microbotox effect generally lasts between 3 to 4 months.

What is the treatment interval?

We recommend repeating treatments on a 3-4 monthly basis. Reinjection is necessary to maintain optimal results.

How soon will I see the effect?

The subtle lifting effect can be seen almost immediately after treatment and it continues to improve till full effect of overall skin refinement and lifting is experienced by day 7-10.

What to expect during treatment?

The injection feels like multiple tiny ant-bites across the entire treatment area. We will apply a layer numbing cream 20 minutes before the procedure to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. The procedure itself takes about 20 minutes.

Multiple pin-point needle marks can often be seen at the end of treatment.

Is there any downtime?

There will be a short downtime for this procedure. Multiple small 2-3mm sized raised wheals, similar to small mosquito bites, will be formed over injection sites. They resolve spontaneously in a few hours.

Tiny bruising spots over the injection sites may be seen. They often last about 3-5 days on average, depending on severity of bruising as well as individual skin healing capacity. You can easily conceal the bruising spots with concealer makeup the next day.
